Refuse Collection.  The East Riding Council has a 3-bin system with selective collections normally on Mondays and Fridays.  A collection calendar is sent every year to every household.

Click here to see the calendar for December 2022 – December 2023 inclusive.

There is a collection reminder service.  See the calendar for details.

The local household waste recycling site is on Airmyn Road, near the Glews roundabout which is between Rawcliffe and Goole.   It is open from 10am to 5pm, 7 days a week except for Christmas, Boxing and New Years Days.  Google “Airmyn tip”. The staff there are very helpful.

This facility may only be used on display of a resident’s pass.

Energy Supplies.  The East Riding Council runs a collective energy switching scheme.  The YORSwitch Cheaper Energy Together team negotiate for competitive prices with the energy companies on behalf of residents and make the switching process as simple as possible.  Click here for details of the scheme, and how to register for it.

Power.  Householders may have different energy suppliers, but Northern Power Grid is the electricity distributer for the whole of Pollington.
